A few things

I think that the setup and story so far is genius. However, the drawings of people looked a little rigid and with no curves. That really annoyed me thruout the whole thing. The city looked like a bunch of squares that were lined up in some sort of order with a sidewalk. There were no streetlights, signs, or people walking around. Lastly, your switching from brush to line all the time messed with the whole thing. Like you couldn't decide what to use. I suggest sticking to one or the other from now on. Oh, and that whole thing where the song pops out of nowhere when the guy is being blasted to death was out of place and took the mood away. It made the guy's death need less climactic and it went to other scenes where it was also out of place.

Great!

I liked it, especially how you designed the android with so much detail. Although, I think that if you had a story that intricate you should've conveyed it in the actual short, and not in the authors comments. Still good though.

Good Job

Now that I know what's going on it's much better. Although you should've gotten better music, because everyone has heard Mindfields, and I don't know about them, but I'm sick of it, fix that little problem with the play and pause buttons in the future, and the buttons in the bonus features section are impossible to click. Make a transparent box behind them so you don't have to click the exact letters. Oh, and the back button takes forever to work. Now that I'm done critisizing it looks really good, and good luck on FFight v.2.

Not bad

I really like this. I have one bit fo advice though. Many people will tell you to make it 24 or 60 frames per second. Unless the series is to be entirely tweened with next to no frame by frame I suggest that you stay at 12. Many really good artist that even get front page and top 50 are at 12. So don't be sorry for it. In fact, stay there. It looks really good as it is. And your usse of gradients looks fine to me, as well as your backrounds. A bit more detail would be fine, but otherwise great, and good luck on finishing this.

Amazing!

This is just perfect in every way. I love the style, and how you managed to draw very professionally while still maintaining the still awesome frame by frame. The camerawork is just as good, and I think conveys your point very accurately; even without voices to back it up. Nice! How did you achieve the sketchy feel anyway. I know you didn't draw it with a mouse, but I've always wondered what the other way to draw in flash is. Anyway, good job, and good luck with the film festival.

A work of art

The castle interior looks like a painting I've seen before. I mean really. The whole thing looks so twisted and creepy, so stylish. and the movements are very well done. Reminds me of an anime fight scene. Oh, and that glass smashing must've taken you forever, even for just a few frames. There must've been a hundred little white and blue pieces there. I'm surprised it played so smoothly too.

The one question I have is this. what was your frames per second? If you don't answer then that's cool. You must be getting 30 of these a minute.

...

It's good, but it's waaaaay too short. You could've done a lot more with it, like made the kid go on a killing spree or omething, or try to fly from a 200 story building ( I know there in't a building with that many storys, shut up). Also with the one thing you did it look way too long to get to the point, and from the time I saw the matches I knew what was going to happen, thus killing the joke. Also the music gets pretty annoying after awhile.

Awesome

I wish I could animate like that. How many frames per second did you use? Good choice of music too. It really would be great if you made a series out of this, but if you don't I can see why.

Butterflysmasher responds:

a steady 12 fps.
the reason im not planning on making this a series is becuase i would rather write my own series from scratch, im not at a loss of interesting characters to use or create.

A missed opportunity

It didn't have voices, or sound effects. The animation was terrific, but the lack of sound effets or voices seriously brought the quality down. You could've at least added subtitles for gosh sakes, or submitted it later. Summer is just around the corner. You would have had three months to do all that. Have some patience. You could've gotten front page.

wow thank you so much!!
